Received call 1219 today from 01472502433. Caller referred to Amazon account. Checked number which appears to be a firm 'Landscape Build'
They claimed to be calling from Openreach about my internet and they detected hacking activity. They did not sound very convincing.

At 8.20am I answered my land line thinking it must be important and was a local number. It was a automated message saying ‘thank you for your payment of £299 for anti virus, if any problems please call our free phone number’ The number I’m afraid I didn’t get and it didn’t say any company either. I’m sure this is a scam of some sort that they catch you when you call to complain so very much aimed at the trusting, naive or elderly.
I get lots of these withe the 01977 Pontefract (West Yorkshire) code funny thing is they always have a Liverpool accent
