This oriental man called Brendon called from the number 02030269204 and said he was from Virgin Media and offered 100Mbps speeds in my area. He said it was a 24 month contract, for £35.00 per month then £50.00 from month 13 to month 24. He then asked for my director s bank account number and sort code. I said this is a scam and put the phone down.
It’s to do with tax claim refunds not sure if it’s a scam but I haven’t paid any tax in years so presume it’s a scam...
Not a call. A text message claiming Whatsapp was going to expire with a link to pay to extend usage. Whatsapp is free to use and no longer expires. Scam!
So I got a missed call & then a text from this number asking me to call them * gave me a reference number. I am currently working in a place with minimal phone reception but we have WIFI so decided to look them up. Entered the detail from the text and the message on their site stated that my account is no longer with them. Seems rather dubious to me as I did the search within an hour of the text coming through. Scammers told me had 3 n half grand to come but had to pay them 3 n half hundred by moneygram or something at post office told him no way and he hung up on me ....
