SPAM - blocked by BT call blocker. Called back a few days later - said "this number is no longer in use". Just had blocked call from VERY SIMILAR NUMBER 01174730148 (called it "the number you have dialled has not been recognised")

picked up. Got a recorded message stating that it was from BT and my router IP had been compromised, therefore they will be replacing my router. Was put through to a person who claimed to be a technician, but he would not listen when told I was not a BT customer and what right do they have to change my router. So put the phone down on them. Good luck to them as I am not with BT.

Fraud - used for National Insurance number scam. Criminal activity.
Received a call from this number today asking me for my work ID number. Refused to provide as the person who did not identify himself when calling my private phone number. Asked from where he obtained my number got no answer. When calling back, person did not take call. Going back to base explained the incident to my manager, manager called this number from the office landline caller took the call and was still demanding the ID number said he will get it anyway and hung up.
