BT technical department scam! Had him going for awhile! Lol!
Caller said he was ringing about loft insulation. Told me he was "local" but then said he was in Reading, 175 miles from me.. The area code for the caller is Bournemouth.

Unallocated number so definitely a scam. These calls use spoofed numbers but originate outside the UK. The scammers can spoof any number they want. Ignore it or block the number...

Got call from this number. Said it was EE and they wanted to check some details - i.e. name and first line of my address. She then asked for my date of birth and and I asked why - they needed to check it was me they were speaking to? Refused to give my date of birth and I said I couldn t be sure who was calling me. She was miffed and said that all calls were being recorded - still refused to give my DOB and ended the call!
