Normally don t pick up unknown calls but the number was similar to one I was expecting so mistakenly answered. Think this was an Indian call centre and the guy rambled something about pensions. I said I wasn t interested. He tried to stop me from hanging up by saying it wasn t a sales call (?)... Something along the lines if pension release. I swiftly said I don t have a pension and he was no longer interested in keeping me on the call. Sounds dodgy to me... As many people say this number is Talk Talk. E

Commenting on behalf of my mother in law. They called telling her that her washing machine warranty was expiring (a lie)and was duped. When I called to complain they were confrontational and when she called back to cancel they would not put her through the correct department. Unprofessional sharks - avoid.

Caller claimed to be from Serif UK, the software company. They wanted to do a survey, and when I told them I don t do surveys over the phone, nor do I confirm details someone claims to have about me, they slipped up and said they wanted to do a survey about my household finances, not the sort of thing Serif does. I regularly speak to Serif on other matters and never had this kind of conversation with them. I reckon they were out on a Phishing trip, but they didn t get even a nibble from me.

on 22 june the above number 0161 8735544 rang my son and said that an amount of ?1500.00 was waiting to be claimed fir whiplash for a accident he had in 2009 foulishly he gave them details including his mobile phone number and said they will ring him on monday 25th june to follow this up. This number called me on my mobile and I certainly didn t give them that number. They said they were from Ivana whoever the hell they are and as soon as I asked them where they got my number from they hung up. so that tells me they are totally untrustworthy. Ask them where they got the number from, or tell them they are breaking the Data Protection Law and they will soon piddle off. Will be blocking this number on my mobile as soon as I can get to grips with doing it.
