Scammers calling about national insurance number fraud (or something like that). The recorded message at the start may be frightening to some people, so be aware this is a SCAM. I pressed 1 and spoke to somebody (Indian of course). He asked me my name and I said it is "BEN CHODE". He hung up immediately. You should do that if they call you.

I saw this number on my mobile phone display and thought something was fishy - I have lived abroad since 1980 and nobody except my family and friends (in Devon) have this mobile number. I have no connections whatever in Scotland. It must be a scam.
Sent text message to my mobile claiming to be from BT - then asked name and BT number. I refused further information on the grounds that BT already have my address and was given some unbelievable story about my mobile number having come up in some other context. Two hours later, the same message arrived on my wife s mobile. Clearly some sort of scam but I do not know what.
