Shouldn t be cold calling as am on telephone preference.
Similar experience to those who've posted so far. I reported the number to the Telephone Preference Service (TPS) after I'd informed the caller I would do so and hung up.
Unknown number called on my mobile, left no message.

Had 4 missed calls today however, it seems the hang up before the phone even rings. Number now blocked! Scottish Power or a comparison company I believe!
an Indian man said that he works for HMRC civil appeal and that I have an ongoing case with the court, he then proceeded to ask for my name and postcode in order to find my file, so I gave him a fake made-up name & my current postcode, without even asking for my house number he said yes sir I found your file. he will try to play with your mind and ask you to go to their gov website and spell their phone number for him, then in someway he will merge a call and call you from the gov number to fool you

An automated message telling me it is from the Fraud agency and that my NI has been used in illegal activities, I do need to get in contact before I get arrested. Voice told me to press '1' I have not. I would expect a more direct and personal approach. I hope I am right
