Started after joining the RAC. The are apparently "ringing on behalf of the RAC". Have my membership number. Have complained to RAC.

Came up as Hotel nhow London, was an indian guy claiming to be from carphone warehouse trying to get me to upgrade my plan or take a new phone. Probably a scam
I live in Florida, US. Have never before received a SPAM hang up call from England until now. Nevertheless, it was an automated call and I have no friends in, or traveling to the UK.
Fraud Claimed to be HMRC and threatened arrest if I didn't pay

Foreign voice telling me there was a problem with my router line and if if I was by my computer he would help me with the problem - said it was his problem that I'm not stupid!
This number called but no-one was there so I put down the receiver after about 3 seconds.
