SCAM
Had a text from car finance saying to expect a call from above number
Cold-calling to do with promoting books on Amazon.com for self-published authors. I am not the person they’re trying to contact, although they have the same name. Poor research on their part. They also have my email address. It looks like a London number, but I’m not 100% convinced that it’s UK based. They referred to Amazon.com, not Amazon.co.uk. Caller had an American accent. Judging by other reviews, they’re looking scam money from you. This is a new direction. SCAM
they called, they said nothing. I hung up They called again, said nothing, so hung up
Called at midnight. Reverse call goes to answerphone. Avoid. Possible scam from Manchester area.
Answered and phone went dead, rang back and it won’t even go through to ring. Not a clue who they are!

I think it's a scam - a recorded message said there had been suspicious transactions on my credit card and to press a button to report it as fraud.

Claimed to be from credit card fraud department. Automated message saying a charge of over one hundred pounds has been made on my card from Amazon, also a foreign transaction of over one thousand pounds. Asked me to press buttons to authorise or talk to an advisor. Total scam.

Couldn't hear a damn thing. Caller doesn't know how to use a phone. Spastics.

Unknown number. Tried phoning back from a different phone - number remains "engaged". Reporting as suspected spam/scam/fraud. Number blocked.

I never answer these numbers. Always check sites like this first.???? Keep in mind delivery scams work because people often expect parcels. If in doubt hang up. Ring back using another phone, if possible.
