PPI call from 1st Call and kept on insisting they are based in Manchester (actually they are calling from South Africa), and was told that I was owed some sort of money from my bank. I have told these callers in no uncertain terms to remove my number from the database immediately, but was told that they didn t want to and they were going to call me everyday. Two calls within 20 minutes from two numbers starting 02920 040 - picked up the second and it went dead. Blocking both.
In the past few days, I have had numerous calls from numbers all starting with 118 230... The one I just asked about called on Feb.27th. Some of the calls were from: 118 230 4879 on Feb 22 118 230 2166 do 118 230 1074 do 118 230 8085 on Feb 27 118 230 0029 on Feb 28 118 230 5240 do This seems like nuisance calling to me, and I'm inclined to think it's about a scam of some sort, not simple soliciting for business.

Gareth Evans telephoned and advised they were part of a Government backed security campaign and were carrying out a local exhibition. Don t normally answer calls to numbers I don t know but as I was expecting a call I answered. Woman on other end asked for me by name and said she wanted to refund a credit to my account. I told her I wasn t interested in this type of call and she abruptly hung up!
I missed the call but then the number 07775555028 sent me a text message to say "Voicemail message received 10:34 on 13th Jul. Duration 6s. Click or call 22215 to hear this message at your normal call rate." which all seems very scammy. The number 22215 was linked so I wouldn't say its safe to click it. Very dodgey text and not expecting a call from anybody
