This number rang.. I answered the phone.. I said hello repeatedly and it was silent, then a weird noise came through the phone then they hung up

This number called me twice today. It is an unknown number to me, but is known to other users who have reported it. No messages left. I am sick of being targetted!
Someone called me today from this number (which looks like a local call for me) supposedly from BT saying that my router was down. It sounded like a nonUK based call centre so I didn’t believe them. When you dial the number is doesn’t seem to exist.

Believed I had been in an accident last five years, seemed more like a robot reading off a script & ignored my questions, checked company name & is using other numbers to call from with eacactly the same script, this Amanda certainly gets about using the same scam, worried it s just a call to check mobile number & sell it on?

Same here, responded to RSPB advert. Rang me a few days later going through the ?8, ?5 & ?3 donation schemes. Said no thanks at the time,looks like they are starting again
This was definitely a call from a scammer. These use spoofed numbers, originate outside the UK and are untraceable. NEVER GIVE ANY INFORMATION to these callers or confirm you...
