Fraud SCAM This is a very dangerous number. It's a very clever O2 scam - backed up by sending emails and texts that look like genuine O2 messages - but they are fake. As with another person, my O2 account was hacked prior to the call. The scammers purpose is to get a lot of personal information from you - with the offer of discounts on monthly payments and providing you a free phone - for being a loyal O2 customer. The objective is to get your credit card's 16 digit card number and security code. The first
SCAM "bank security" scammer. Tell the caller that you know he is a scammer and hang up.
This telephone number rang my mum who hasn't got a clue about online banking or the internet. A bloke called James Taylor claimed he was from Action fraud. He informed my mum that she had activity on her bank account that wasn't showing up, and he then persuaded her to transfer a huge amount of money to there account, saying she will get it back after investigation of a few days. Which would be to late. Please stay clear of this number and block them.
Claimed to be Carphone Warehouse.
