Insurance. Very suspicious. The caller claimed to be calling about renewal of an insurance policy on my washing machine. He sounded convincing until he said he wanted to confirm my bank details. I asked him to tell me what details he had and he said he didn't have that information and wanted me to give them to him. Naturally, I refused to do this and he quickjy terminated the conversation. This is probably an attempted fraud.
SCAM - I didn't answer the call but it went to voicemail. The voicemail was an automated recording saying that they were the HMRC and if I didn't choose an option I would be arrested immediately.
They rang using my name and asked about my recent car crash !!!I said what car crash and they hung up !
Apparently I was in an accident according to the "Road Traffic Accident Agency". I call BS and let her talk to herself for a bit. She soon got the message and hung up.
This number has called repeatedly stating they are from the National Crime Agency stating that my National Insurance number is being used by others in a fraudulent manner, I keep blocking them but they call from different numbers sometimes 6 times a day, so annoying!
