Answered call from this number. Silence for about 10 seconds then a beep and it cut off. Number blocked so hopefully won't receive any further calls.

SCAM. Said they from BT and that my broadband was not working. I know it was as I was online and told them, also mentioned that I thought the call was some sort of scam. Got told that my mindset needed sorting. Redialled the number and it’s not in service.
Apparently Currys PC World. No intorduction, just straight into the latest iphone deal. Hung up and blocked number

Caller claimed to be from an organisation which teaches English as a foreign language to Philippine people in need and wanted to recruit me as a volunteer to have conversations with students - quote "they may ask you questions about your life". I asked where I could check this scheme out and he said his manager would call back with further details. Very suspicious. Answered and it then somehow turned the call around so that I was calling them! Clever. But annoying.
