Keeps ringing and asks to speak to my husband, they have his name. Claims to be from Carphone Warehouse. Never had any dealings with them. When I question them they hang up.
“BT technical support” recoded message saying my internet connection had been compromised, and press 1 for an engineer...
They are based on wharf industrial estate in bury, Manchester and Blackburn. The staff who call have no idea, nor choice of who they ring as the system selects a number at random from their data, and only when the line opens do they see your name and address etc. They are legitimate in terms of what they are offering (a free hearing frequency test at your local football club/hotel) however, if you will receive any money should a claim be successful is questionable. Text Message prank text saying guess who? When I asked who it was they said Grace I asked which one, but they tried to string me along as a game. I accused them of being kids mucking about and said I wasn't going to play their game. Didn't get a reply. :-D

Lowells - notorious and shady debt collection agency you should on no account speak to by telephone, and if they call you, hang up. Very dodgy guy called through my wife s number trying to get to me having emailed her and not me first. An obnoxious guy called Graham Hamilton wouldn t give the name of the company. Google them to see their practices. They re based in Glasgow and there are dozens of reports of them scamming and intimidating people. Don t even answer the phone to them.
