I was contacted today by 2 different numbers by a caller from Rotherham claiming they were from vodaphone they asked me if I was interested in any services ect I told them I wasn t interested pass the phone to my husband they got funny and put the phone down I phoned up vodaphone and they told me no one from vodaphone has contacted me at all they told me to phone the police as its fraud I did this and the police are aware now of both numbers that phoned me

SCAM There was a short pause after I picked up the telephone, with a lot of background noise, such as you might get from someone in a crowded bar, not what I'd expect from a legitimate outfit. The person who spoke had a thick accent so I initially thought it might be from an overseas call centre. The person who spoke said they were from British Telecom, so I told them where to go and hung up.
