The automated call says its from HMRC. It's designed to frighten you into selecting the option to be connected to a call centre. I didn't take it any further as it was clearly a very nasty, aggressive attempt to initiate a scam.

Incomplete message with just this number left on landline answerphone. Phoned back. Phone then locked up. Had to disconnect at wall socket and take batteries out of handset. Very suspicious.

How stupid are these people? Different ?English? first names, barely able to speak the language. Up to three calls in the day, twice today so far, lost count last week. Had similar multiple calls a few months back. Haven?t they got the wit to delete numbers of people who tell them where to go? And why can?t bt stop this and other apparently local numbers being used in this way? Give me strength!
