got a text from Halifax saying did you use your card for 103.00 GBP, if yes reply Yes, If No call 08004370296 - checked with Halifax and this is not their phone number If you do call the number it goes through Halifax Fraud but this is a scam

This number sent me an SMS I do not recognise this number so I did not open it amp came straight here as I always do when a number is unknown to me My thanks to the only other person to leave a comment I have now deleted the SMS I deal in person with the NHS as I am fearful of hacking resulting in loss theft of my personal information I would not have initiated any contact from the NHS portal It may be autodialling not a scam per se but I will mark it as untrustworthy all the same

SCAM Called to offer IVA Debt Relief. Claiming to be from a company called Citizen Capital. Stated my name was sent to them from the government as someone who needed debt relief. They wouldn't accept that I didn't need help and I wasn't in need of debt relief - let alone an IVA!

SCAM Automated message informed me I had two transactions on my bank card but didn't identify my bank. It then wanted me to press a key to speak to an advisor.
Person called asking me what knickers I was wearing. They were breathing quite heavily so I assumed they had a cold. Anyway, I told them I don't wear any knickers. I then heard some grunting noises and shortly after the caller hung up. Very strange. Never mind, I hope they get well soon! X

I didn't, and please don't answer calls from unknown numbers like this. Type the number into Google afterwards and see what comes up... If it's an 'unexpected call' you've had, then likely it's a Spam/Scam call. Wait them out and look it up after ... If it's an elderly relative who mentions they've been getting these calls, please tell them to ignore it. If anyone important calls they will generally always leave a voice mail you can get back to anyway.

Normally they call me from different Aberdeen Numbers, so now they're trying to catch me out by phoning me from Dumfries. SCAM Indian sounding lady, rang twice this week saying they were from BT openreach that there had been a security breach on my internet line trying to hack my broadband, she couldnt tell me any details, so assuming this was a scam I said its fine theres nothing on my laptop for hackers to get, she then wanted my mobile phone details to show me what was happening, I then told her I didn't bring my phone to work and she got angry and said fine if you dont want to protect your line then hung up !!
