I am in Greece and have a Greek mobile. I had a missed call from this number. As we have UK-based clients I called the number back and the bakery had no idea what I was talking about! I have come across this before with UK numbers, can a third party somehow hijack a landline number?

SCAM Recorded message telling me my card has been used for Amazon and an International Transfer of £1000.
Twice when I picked up the phone the line went dead. The third time, a lady said something which included the words "Tax refund" but, despite asking her to repeat herself several times, I could not make out anything else she said as she had a very strong foreign accent. So I blocked the number.

Assumed scam, automatic message called to say unusual activity on bank card, didn't state who’s card or which bank, press 1 to approve etc....just hang up, your proper bank will call you or you can call them

Fraud - pretends to be from your mobile phone company offering a discount. Instead, they are trying to hack in to your account and need you to tell them the one-time passcode that gets sent to your phone. If you give them the code, you will find yourself owing thousands of pounds for expensive new iPhones ordered under your name and delivered to the scammers. Today's call was from a young lady in a small call centre, calling herself "Shireen", with an Indian or Punjabi accent but good English l
