Text received from this unknown to me, number. Worded to suggest "we hadn't been in contact for a long time and make appointment at a restaurant for dinner". Number never been in my call history and no communication ever taken place. Almost certainly a bait line for something worse for whoever's dumb enough to respond. Scam . Got abusive when I refused to give information that they asked for.
Caller said they were from State Pension and asked too many questions. We just hung up. Please do the same for your financial security.
Said he was from EE - offering me a 30% discount on my phone bill for being such a good customer- I just had to provide them with confirmation of my details (That old chestnut!). I'm not even with EE. Scam!
Missed call
Automated call claiming to be Amazon and that I just paid them £79 for a Prime Membership. SCAM.
07477 102309 Purporting to be calling from HM Government, reporting that willful fraud has been committed by me and legal proceding were about to begin. £498 was the sum involved. (too little I think) Also the call was made on a public holiday.
