Called with a female robot voice. Said it was HMRC. I hung up immediately as I?m pretty sure they either would have sent a letter or had a real person on the phone!

SCAM This is a call centre saying it is a courtesy call due to an appliances warrantee expiring, on this instance it was a washing machine, so quite believable. They wanted £65 per year for another 3 years full cover. It sounded very genuine until she said that she wanted me to tell her the name and make of my appliance and i said that i was ok and didn't want to renew the warrantee as i'd had it for over 5 years, then they just hung up and the line went dead. I got a automated call saying that they are call from Crime Agency and that my National Insurance is being suspended. It a scam caller. Don't know how they manage to get my number. for the last few days, i have been getting blank calls as well. May be, since i responded to one of the calls, i started getting more targeted calls
Received this phone call today at 17.50 but no one spoke when I answered the call. I assume it was a recruitment agency as I have just submitted my CV to a company.
