caller said they were from virgin media. noticed i had a new phone, wanted to know how much I was paying, which I didn't tell them, as if it was really virgin they would have known, since I bought the phone from them
SCAM / SPAM Automated voiced reporting illegal internet activity and threatening to stop access unless talk to their engineer. Have called twice this morning.

SCAM - person I do not know who repeatedly called back and said she was Cornelia, 'that stupid German' that she knew me and had spoken to me the day before. She hung up when I asked how she knew me. Believe she was after my full name/other details.

Just had a call from 01306 279003. Didin't answer it as I'm sick of seeing the number appear on my mobile.
I recently received a quite dubious letter from "Springfield Financial Group" that asked me to call a Bernard Morgan as I had allegedly won ?850,000 in a lottery. It also said that I need to claim my prize within two weeks of the date of the letter (which said August 15th so more than a month ago). Additionally, I have to pay a clearance fee to receive my prize. All I can say is: the letter is not worth the paper it was printed on so just ignore it and don t respond to their requests!
