Stated they are calling to carry out a survey. Stated they got my number from one of their partner companies . Gave a list that included o2 amongst about 7 others. Basically fishing for info/interest to see if they can pass your details on to other companies - virgin, british gas, sky etc.

Have been receiving daily calls from these people - previously they have asked to speak to my mother and simply hung up when told she was out. Today, after more persistent questioning, the caller (who had a heavy Indian accent) said his name was David, calling from Windows Service Centre in Surrey, and that my parents computer has been downloading malicious software. SCAM - recorded American voice saying something had been bought from Amazon for an astronomical price.
Automated message with American accent stating HMRC have sent me a letter and are starting court proceedings against me and to press 1 to speak with someone. I have checked with HMRC and this is a known scam.

Scammers calling as HMRC, left a voicemail saying need to call back othervise ill be in big trouble and will face the consequences in a recorded robotic voice. When called back asked why im calling and my name and other details. When I asked them to email me what its about they hung up.

This number kept calling me and there was just silence at the other end whenever I answered. Once there was a man s voice saying "hello?" but the following calls were just silence. Either it s a hoax or someone who can t work a phone well!
