It is rare that i answer a call from a number not in my address book or one I am expecting. It rang I answered the caller was silent and then hung up, i suspect that the caller was hoping I would answer announcing my name. Please avoid this otherwise a rouge has a name to a telephone number

Very vague - asked for my husband by name. Asked for a message to be passed on that Will from HEP had called. Unaware of HEP. Cannot find anyone on the internet that links with this number. Obvious call centre as could hear others in the background. Interestingly lots of searches around this number today.
Fraud - said my national insurance number had some dodgy activity recently and tried to get all my info. I'm only 19 and this did freak me out a bit but he only got my name before I got over whelmed. I went to my mum while the number was on mute and they hung up after a minute. Don't give it anything, I've learnt if it's important from the government, they will send a letter.

Received a call from this number saying they are from EE and wanted to inform me of some exclusive offers. For starters it sounds like they were outside by a road. And then they wanted to know my details. When asked why they wanted to know I was given a vague answer of "because of the data protection act". After asking my address they then wanted went onto ask questions about my payment methods. When I told them I was uncomfortable with answering that and challenged it, they got rather shirty!
