The Tech Helpline called me to tell me my Windows 7 computer is vulnerable to attack as it no longer receives update. THIS IS WRONG. Updates will keep coming until Jan 2017 for Windows 7, just no new features. Complaint made to https://ico.org.uk/concerns/marketing/ as I m TPS registered.

Two calls from this number (which is one digit short of being valid!) both with the same recorded message. I did not waste my time listening to it as it is an obvious scam call ...
Brighter Homes called me today on this number offering vouchers for double glazing etc. I told them I was registered with the Telephone Preference Service, and not to call again. This company uses pressure selling techniques to sell double glazing. The company was featured on the Watchdog rogue traders program. As usual the dirty filthy packies have changed their number again, they basically call you, tell you your pc is fucked which how could they low? Seriously! If you fall for this your deserve it! After you give them access to it, they use it to do various illegal activities including stealing your identity, credit card numbers anything they can salvage and after that it becomes part of a network of pcs used to hack and generally cause havoc. Probably telemarketing, but I couldn't understand them properly but I got the gist that I was going to be asked personal information. I never give that information when it is an unsolicited call.
