Apparently this number is HMRC and if I don't press 1, a warrant will be issued for my arrest!
Santander s automated fraud alert number - I d just changed a payee s details on my internet banking and this number called my mobile within 2 minutes, asked me to confirm a few details then confirm the change I d made was genuine. Pretty good service really!

GOT THE SILENT TREATMENT
Seems to be used for some telemarketing call center - this range of numbers 1618142xxx (common feature, they use more numbers of the same range) is mostly reported with PPI, insurance claims, financial marketing. Just block it if not interested (I use the app from these pages, no problems) Folks did they call you with the same or something new?
