This was a recorded message telling me that a large sum had just been removed from my bank account. By this time I had blocked the call. I have no doubt that they would have gone on to ask me to do something that would have resulted in me being robbed. When are the useless impotent authorities going to crack down on these thieving scumbags?

I think it's a scam - a recorded message said there had been suspicious transactions on my credit card and to press a button to report it as fraud.
Recorded message about PPI. I keep using a blocker for such messages but the number must keep on changing. Not enough digits for a real uk number
