Unknown number. When dialed there is a message "Hi, thank you for calling please hold while we connect your call." plays music, repeated three/more times, followed by American voice "Sorry, all our operators are busy on other calls. Please call again later." Disconnects.
Buy Bt 8500 this phone has true call only numbers in your contact list ring your , phone. Since buying this phone I have had no, Zero rubbish calls. The phone lists the numbers that have tried to get through but if they are not in your contact list your phone won t ring. Brilliant. A well spent £40 or £49 for two handsets. This is not an advert it really works.
Claimed to be HMRC saying that if I didn't press 1 to be connected then a warrant would automatically be issued against me for tax fraud. Definitely spam/fraud/scam.

This number called me this morning. It was an automated call, stating a purchase has been made from my card for an Amazon purchase of £1049.00, which they think might be suspicious. They were also instructing me to press 1 for... etc. I hang-up and block the number. Firstly, there is not that amount of money on my card, so the purchase should have been decline if the call was legitimate and 2, why would Amazon care about the value of my purchase? I have made numerous purchases of varying values and they hav
