I didn't answer this number, as I do not know it, I don't know anyone in London. It rang my mobile number, but never left a message , even though the answering machine kicked in. The map was not clear enough for me to see what part of London the call came from

Very insistant and wouldn t accept that I didn t want a quote for windows, soffits, or monitored alarm. Tried every way to book someone to visit and wouldn t take No for an answer, and persevered when I told him he was giving te hard sell and I wouldn t be interested. I had to tell him I was going to put the phone down. He then rang back and spoke to my wife saying there was no need for her to apologise for my behaviour (!) and tried the hard sell on her too. In the end she also had to put the phone down
This was a scam caller. A man with a strong South Asian accent claiming to be from "BT Openreach" and saying my router had indicated that my internet speed was fluctuating. I immediately suspected a scam. I queried his credentials and how he had managed to identify that my router went with the phone number he called. He kept insisting that "BT Openreach" provide the internet for the whole UK no matter what provider you are with. He then offered to "prove&

Who phoned me
Fraud - pretending to be insurance company renewing my appliance cover and asking for £154!! Never had the appliances or cover they mentioned!!
Asked if I had been involved in a car accident that wasn't my fault.
