SCAM tried to hack my PayPal as they said they wanted to buy a dress from me but needed the security code from PayPal to send payment! Stay well away.
Called and hung up on before I could talk.

The comments on here suggest any calls to 101 are tapped. I phoned 101 to report something and I wasn t asked for my phone number (it probably shows on their system at the time). 20 minutes later I had a call from this number which rang out twice then stopped.
Did not answer and they did not leave a message.

Told me he was calling from an independent research company. I do ot remember exactly where or who but he did mention gfx. I hung up on him.

Auto recording American accent voice, saying from HMRC (UK tax authorities) saying they have issued an arrest warrant for tax evasion - press 1 for details! Obviously I didn't AND don't owe anything. Presumably routed through to a chargeable number, or some scam to get my details.
said to be UK preference service wanting to ask 4 questions. Many calls from 'UK Preference Service'. Got short shrift.
Reported elsewhere as a scam, mainly of the "you ve been in a car accident" type.
Ok, followed this through and phoned 01242 537 073 as I had been receiving silent calls over many weeks from this number and I had used the 1471 trace. The key info is the company responsible for this mayhem is called Assured Futures based in Cheltenham, Glos, Uk. They claimed a box had been ticked on a go compare form and they were following things up. However, what was happening is their telecoms autodial to customers would switch off after so many seconds.
