Unsolicited call to my rarely used mobile re: replacement windows and guttering. Female was rather persistent but eventually accepted that I had no interest.

They called me and knew my name and address. Wanted to confirm this was me saying they wanted to send me a former for a tax over payment. They said they were HMRC and as they already had my detail and even pronounced my name right which surveys calls never do, I said send me the firm. Still not arrived. If HMRC it would come quickly and in their official brown envelop. Sceptical.
didn t catch the name of the caller but they were calling about the road traffic accident I supposedly reported recently. I ve never reported an RTA because I ve never been in one. Obviously buy lists of names and hope they strike lucky.

Friendly number - Benvardin animal rehoming kennels.
SCAM Cold caller, pretending to be working on behalf of Microsoft advising me that I am being targeted by hackers. Goes through a spiel involving talking me through looking at the 'event viewer' utility on my PC and asking me to note the number 'Administrative events' with warnings listed in the viewer. This he advisies means that I am under attack - (BTW it does not). The tries to talk me into downloading 'anydesk' - I did not because it would allow access to my PC.
