Seems to be used for some telemarketing call center - this range of numbers 16181422xx (common feature, they use more numbers of the same range) is mostly reported with accident claims, insurance marketing - mostly Harrington Consultancy. Just block it if not interested (I use the app from these pages, no problems). Folks did they call you with the same or something new?

Offering to come round to your house with a check if you give them a small sum of money and UKash vouchers to claim the PPI compensation. NEWS FLASH you never receive the check. West Mercian Police will be informed. To knowledge West Yorkshire Police already know about this scamming system.

They call me 3 times a day - I complained to TPS who immediately contacted them. They have continued calling. After 30 days if they are still calling, TPS will take action. I don't answer, it goes straight on to message taker but it's still a nuisance. I've phoned them twice today and been assured they will remove my number but it's continuing. One woman I spoke to said she knew it was illegal.
