Lie about calling on behalf of companies. Called me on behalf of local council, I work for local council and can guarantee we did not employ them for research.
Can't get them off the line once you have picked up. In the end used some chosen(#######)words and hung up.
Only answered as have family in that area. 'AMR' accident scam. Asked them if they could tell me what accident I'd had (as I haven't), told to remove my number and hung up.
SCAM I was called from this number and told they were B.T engineers, and after keeping the Asian person on the line through broken English I was transferred to a total of 4 different people, all sounding of Asian orientation India I think. Finally, I was asked to go to the google play store and download ANYDESK and install it.I got a bit fed up with the call then and told them it's a scam and I wasn't even on the internet and hung up. but Anydesk would have allowed the people to (take over ) my device.

Pre-recorded American female voice, purporting to be from BT's Technical Department, advising me that my line has been compromised. I've now blocked the number but be careful because this is the first time any of these scam callers have ever claimed to be from BT so, if you're a BT subscriber like me, you've been warned.

Called from this number by someone who sounded very Indian claiming to be from "internet provider TalkTalk" (I m not with them). It turned out to be the www.teamviewer.com / www.support.me scam where they claim "something is wrong with your computer" (they never tell you what).
