Said I was currently on a dept management plan. I am not. Obviously scammers.

Caller claimed to be from Serif UK, the software company. They wanted to do a survey, and when I told them I don t do surveys over the phone, nor do I confirm details someone claims to have about me, they slipped up and said they wanted to do a survey about my household finances, not the sort of thing Serif does. I regularly speak to Serif on other matters and never had this kind of conversation with them. I reckon they were out on a Phishing trip, but they didn t get even a nibble from me.

Left blank voicemail. Happy to have found comments here regarding validity of phonecall. Will not return call and will block. Thanks all.

Received 4 nov 2014. Currently abroad so I don't want to waste any more money on picking up spam calls, therefore did not answer.

Chap claiming to be "Jim from Unique Preferences" (with a thick Indian accent) wanted to ask me "a few simple yes or no questions". He insisted he was not trying to sell me anything. The purpose of the call was "marketing". He said his company s partners would be able to make me offers which could save me money. A girl called me 2 hours ago. She wanted to ask some questions and when i said that i dont want to answer she hung up. Such phone scam is really annoying!

Cost trap called back to a recorded message, I disconnected after 3 seconds and got charged 41p. Message said in a computer voice that its the local boiler cleaning company... Don t think so

Had 3 calls today, answered third call. Man said my computer kept sending info to their computer and he would help sort it out. He was trying to get me to hand over access to my computer to him - told him where to get off.
