SCAM Call started with a oversees transaction of 600 pound has been attempted was this you giving you the option of saying yes or no. I stated no and was placed to a oversees call centre claiming to be from the Halifax. I stopped the call and told him I will call Halifax direct. He started to say no I am with the Halifax and I ended the call. After contacting Halifax I was told to block the number as it is indeed a scam call. Good luck out there all.
01202 402919 14/02/2020 @ 14:00 My elderly mum just received a call from these people, claiming to offer £99.99 for a five year plan to stop cold calls. They said, that at the moment we're only getting the single year for £99.99, and would we like to go ahead. They then asked for a password, which my mum said 'they knew'. And asked for a debit or credit card. I took the phone off mum and put the phone down. I'm know she's never, ever paid any money to these people in her life. This is a scam!!!

Saying they were doing survey on behalf of gov online services, may well be true, but if we wish to leave feedback for any gov dept, they will have their own direct link(s) Best to ask for their card details so you can bill them before answering any questions!

Did not answer. It came up as a recognised spam caller. Had calls from other tel nos in the same sequence of the last 3 digits. Just blocking them all through the network. Presuming this is another call about BT internet, fining me, putting me in jail etc etc etc. Last week when the caller announced they were from BT, I answered "REALLY" They cut off immediately.
