I phoned HSBC customer services using the number on my bank card. They confirmed nobody from the bank had called me and that it was NOT a call from their company and that this was NOT one of their numbers. I’ve read all the positives on this site so am left confused!

This is NOT necessarily a genuine number, and the irresponsible trickster that keeps writing fake safe messages like the ones below should be ashamed of himself. The only reason somebody would do that is to trick people into thinking it's a safe number because he's the scammer. Stupid little tosser.

  	3456081878	They called me and I didn't pick up the phone as I usually ignore unknown calls - they then sent me a text saying they're the HSBC Fraud Prevention team and asked me to call back. Was a bit suspicious so I called the number on the back of my card instead. Yep to all who are not sure whether this number is a scam or not - just call the number on the back of your card and they will transfer you to the team, you don't have guess whether the call is legit or not then.
