Definitely a scam. BT, Openreach, TalkTalk, Virgin or any other provider will never call you about a technical issue unless you contact them.

SCAM Two calls, six months apart, claiming I had supported a online child safety programme and wanting to present an invoice for payment. As soon as I requested their recording of my agreement and examples of the advertising and a list of schools it was sent to they hung up after becoming very aggressive in the first instance.

Very suspicious callers. Claiming to be a Pensions firm asking for personal details including even your Nat Ins number which I did not divulge to them. Their response was to say "we cannot proceed any further without this". They do have English accents. My suspicions are confirmed when I try to call back on this number - phone just goes dead. If these people are not scammers - they do a very good impression of scammers.

Just rang my mobile TWICE now, all I heard was loud shouting in background, I did say hello but no response. They hung up twice on me without saying anything so now I ve blocked their number. Timewasting scammers they can get stuffed!
