Warranty/insurance scam. Problem is few of these scams get reported to the police so it’s rare that the criminals get nicked. This site probably gets more reports of scam calls and texts per hour than the police get in a month. They called me today and asked for me by my first name to sell me a life insurance policy. When I asked them where did you get my contact details, they answered that it was from their search engine as I expressed my interest in such a policy in the past. I challenged them that I did t supply my information to be called for a life insurance product then she asked me if I have a family and how old I am. I declined to answer and then ended the call.

Ignored the call

Received a call today from "Martin" who claimed to be from TPS, confirmed my phone number (which he rang to), my name and address and then asked me to confirm my expiry date for credit/debit card - when posed the question "why" he needed to know financial details for a free service, he suggested It was for verification purposes - I declined and asked from which company he was calling, at which point the phone went dead - SCUM!

Automated dialler, which is Illegal. Leaves an automated message too, with an "insert name here" feel to it as name is in a different voice.

Called today, phone ID said Redruth Cornwall, however missed text message showed 01513759551 (Liverpool no in keeping with other comments). Blocked the number.
