Caller purported as acting as 3rd party for a Finance Company which I have just used (so far so good). Wasn t happy when started to ask for relatively minor details (address/post code) so caller advised not prepared to discuss further. Not content with my perspective of "This is unsolicited, from a number I don t recognise, and you ve advised you are as acting as a 3rd party" tried to push on. SCAM. Claims to be from HMRC and "if you don't press 1" etc, they will come and arrest you! Plaid there game, pressed 1 and spoke to some fraudster in India who was bemused that I'd actually gone along with their scam before he hung up on me!
