SCAM This number called on my land line with a recoded message stating that my internet was to be cut off within the next 24 to 48 hours because of illegal activity. If I needed to speak to an executive manager I instructed to press 1 on my handset. The internet was not cut off nor has been interrupted. This is a scam.

I have a Sky and 02 contract, different phones. I had a call from this number purporting to be 02 on my Sky phone; took me a while to realise! Offered me a 45% discount on my bill for 2 years with no catches??? Spoke in an Indian accent, very fast, so not easy to understand. Asked for my full name, which I queried as he was supposed to have my account records. However, not giving anything away, I did so but he misspelled everything. I could get thousands of pounds in compensation. They just called me pretending to be from motability insurance asking about recent accident with my motability car. My car hasn’t been in an accident but is currently in for repair at the dealership following an RAC call out when my battery was flat and the car wouldn’t start. I don’t know how these scammers got my unlisted mobile number or even knew I have a motability car (which has a private plate on it). Someone has given them my personal information. Guy hung up when I was in mid sentence.
