Rang off as soon as the realised they were rumbled and I was running reverse tracing on them. South African IP and call number spoofing. This number rang my wife,s phone on 21/06/2022 .The number rang out three times and then hung up. A similar number +94938591709 rang my phone the following day 22/06/2022 and rang out three times and hung up. i believe they are suspicious numbers.

I was called from 01733385646 and because I come from Peterborough I answered it. It was an automated voice stating that there had been a number of charges made against a card, going on to say that one was for Amazon. They were so obviously not from any bank as they did not say which bank, card, etc., Therefore I just put the phone down. When I tried to call the number back it went dead as if not recognised. Thus I conclude that this could be a scam!

Unable to answer the original call a voice message was left to call this number back. The voice message did not state the company involved but required an anti-fraud check. This was a 'genuine' number, but the questions were probing and having given my contact number after questions to verify myself I was asked for the last 4 digits of that contact number already given, there were too many disconnected questions that could be joined up for other fraud. I terminated the call. Supposedly Barclaycard.
