Had 3 calls from this number this morning. Recorded message saying illegal activity had been detected on my internet connection and it would be terminated within 24 -48 hours unless I pressed 1 to speak to an adviser. Clearly a scam.

This seems to be some good working money trap, similar numbers are reported as robocalls, fake wins, scam offers (in most cases some financial offers). For sure some general call centre.
