The number = 01709889223, this number phoned me today (at 13:08 on 1st March 2022) and the caller stated they were from BT OUTBOUND ringing about my telephone. They were indian, male and middle aged, they identified themselves as John Martin. I am ex-directory and my phone is registered with the telephone preference service to block sales calls and unwanted calls. I checked online and the number was listed as Indian and Rotherham based. Caller ID identified the call was from Bishops Stortford. The caller said he was from O2 offering a 30% discount on my tariff. I told him I was suspicious of this call, he diverted me to another person who repeated the discount spiel. Asked why I'd be getting a discount, he said many complaints to O2 has led them to offer 'selected customers' a discount; I wouldn't have to give him any personal details, he would send me 2 texts. so I told him to sod off and disconnected the call. Reported to the ICO

Hi I received a phone call from this number today. A voice mail asking about a fraud on my credit card. After pressing 1 on my key pad a man answered and wanted details of my email etc. I put phone down and rang the number back. When a lady answered. Something not right
My mobile automatically detects potential fraud calls and if proved it will then report the call automatically as a fraudulent call. I have received several potential fraudulent calls but can’t recall if they are from the same person/company. Take care folks..
