This is a scam. They phoned me on my (not a smart) mobile. An automated American voice stated they were from HMRC informing me that I owed money and they were sending the dept collectors around. To discuss this matter further and settle the debt I should press; 1. Problem is, I did my Tax Return in April and don't owe any tax. I've not owed tax for years. Strong foreign asking for me by my first name. Wanting to know if I was a housing association/council tenant and discuss paying for costs of repairs/damages. Very difficult to understand. Not at all relevant to me and I believe it was a scam.
SCAM - Apparently saw and ad for my car and wanted to buy it via paypal without even seeing the car. Definitely a paypal scam where they try to extort money out of you first.
It's a number for Royal Mail Slough delivery office, so should not be being given out by Ali express. Don't ring it, they must keep the phone off the hook because they are tired of all the calls they get through (incorrectly). If you want more info then just ring the normal royal mail customer services who will tell you if the tracking number is valid but only confirm whatever the Royal mail tracker says (which in my case doesn't even show that parcel has been sent to Royal Mail).

Male non english accent called my landline from 07342065763 17 Jan 2023. Stated he was from Amazon security and that he had emailed me as someone had ordered a £600 phone on my account. I asked whose name was on the account as he said it was my name. I asked again whose name and he said D Maddison. When I say they don't live here he hung up. Obviously has some old phone records.

Definite scam. Claimed (falsely) to be Harry from Carphonewarehous3 in London calling because "we have a special offer on new phones today". I live in Scotland, he's calling from London claiming to be a big phone store. They would never ring me like that, nor you either. How could he have got my number legitimately? He immediately went into "what phone are you using?" Obviously looking to sound like he could choose an upgrade whilst scamming you out of the cost of the non-existent
