Scam. They insisted I had asked for help with services and sent me an email to prove it. Email is blank apart from the only thing there - a button that says "Previous messages". I had no dealings with the caller previously and I know I haven't sent any emails. So it is clear that link goes to and does something fishy!!!

Caller said he was "Bruce" (he had a foreign accent, so I doubt this was his real name) from "Local Government Grant Scheme". I asked what company he represented; he said he was "not from a company. I am calling on behalf of the Local Government Grant Scheme". I asked if he was from the local government, and he said yes. "Which local government?" I asked. "Nottinghamshire," he replied. I Had tried applying for a payday loan and stupidly put my phone number out there so now im being bombarded with calls from this number it called me 3 times before i answered spoke to an indian man who was very rude and stated "did u just hang up on me" to then him go through my details which he must of picked up from another site, said his senior financial accounts officer would call back. I got a call back from this man and again he was very rude and had an indian accent possibly the same man if im honest

I answered and there is a delay for 2 seconds before the automated message starts telling you to urgently press option 5 to claim your PPI. I hung up, there was no way I was pressing option 5 and probably getting charge ?1,000 a minute!!
This number was automated saying there was a purchase on visa debit and to press number one if it was not me it's a scam

Phoned me saying that I had entered a competition to win either iPhone/iPad/car/?10,000. They know my name, number, postcode and age. They then tried to partake in weekly lottery draws, saying I had 98% chance of winning. I said i wasn t interested and that i hadn t entered any comperition and then hung up.

The man told me he was from hmrc, asking if I was employed or self employed. He then said, after asking for my name, the call was made to the wrong person on the wrong number and hung up on me!

I got at least 20 phone calls from this number all in the evening. When i did answer you could hardly hear them, tried to ask where i had entered this competition and they couldn t answer me as to what website i did the competition, just that i entered one for a mini, iPad, iPhone and ?10000. he then wanted my bank details, do not trust.
