Answer silence and then they make a noise and hang. Had this with several colchester numbers. Have called some of them back and there is a charge every time. Just avoid it !

I knew something funny, phone code is Birmingham. Put phone down.He called back after few mins, not answered, check phone no. These type calls need stopping somehow.

this number has just called me a few minutes ago, I have been getting calls from similar numbers all beginning with 077 all day today but nothing has come up on searches except that they are vodaphone numbers. Did not answer any of them as I don t answer numbers I don t recognise and no message was left. All the numbers are now blocked as I m assuming they re nuisance calls.

As some above - calling in regards to debt seeking someone who has never lived at this address. We suffered from repeated calls of the same nature from MacKenzie Hall / PRA Group for years and once we managed to get PRA to stay on the phone long enough to give an address wrote to them explaining the situation and demanding they cease harassment. That worked for approx 12 months until 8am this morning when calls for the same wrong person resumed. Presumably - knowing that the contact details are incorrect -
