Claimed to be from EE offering me 33% off my mobile bill. Red flags: I’m not with EE, awful background noise on his call, calling me Ma’am and starting his sales pitch without even checking who I was. Hung up and blocked the number
Funny how over the last week, I have been getting calls from Manchester on my mobile. They alway hangup before it goes to my answer service. This has to be a sales call or fake service that has picked up on my number, otherwise they would leave a message for me to get back to them.
SCAM Called saying they were from BT and my internet speed had been reported as an issue. A technician are working on it, but it was software on my router that was wrong. Got me to look up internet speed. Gave them fake results, which would have been top drawer, to be told they were not good Passed me to another technician to get me to open windows run and enter 'www.anydesk.com'. That scam has been doing the rounds for years. Told them I worked in IT, and they hung up!

I ALWAYS report EVERY Scam e mail and phone call to every agency who covers this-YET they continue! Interesting many mention Curry’s-Inundated for YEARS with fake curry’s and other services e mails.Plus piggy backing my e mail contacts falsely to try and get me to click on links. YET F*** all done to apprehend them and STOP this outdated practice

SCAM This number was the first of three (others were 0208 888 7676 and 01782 254545) which I received on 17th and 18th July 2023, telling me I had security problems with users accessing my computer files. I was told that I needed to open my event viewer logs so that they could help me to block the users etc. After playing dumb and stretching out the phone call - I eventually told them that I knew they were trying to scam me - which met with a tirade of abuse - especially from one female calling herse

I do not answer unsolicited calls & NEVER give ANY personal information over the phone, not to even confirm my name. I suspect this is an automated dialer & more than likely a scam. Phoned saying they were from BT and I had a very serious internet problem - caller was clearly from India, so I asked him what part of England he was calling from and he said London, even though the number says Pickering. Was very insistent that I had a serious internet problem, in the end I just hung up
Received a phone call from this number this morning at 10.39am. When I lifted the receiver there was some garbled noise then a single tone and the number rang off. Hard to say whether or not this is a 'dangerous' number but need to be careful. Not good when no-one speaks.

Automated call from 01189668073 on my virtually unused landline threatening to cut off my internet service in 24 hours due to illegal activity. This was recorded by my answer phone and the message invites you to press 1 to speak to the technical department. No doubt that would then be some scam which is being deployed.

SCAM - caller claimed to be from British Gas wanting to book me in for a boiler service. She didn't ask for anyone here by name so I didn't engage, just ended the call & blocked the number. Banking Automated call 'This is bank security ' alleging two card transactions on account. As there is less than £100 in the account, this seems highly unlikely. Simply hung up at this point, but such calls are annoying and potentially dangerous. Have cheçked with my bank in the past, who assure me they would never make such a call
