I ve had a few calls over the past couple of days that I ve been unable to answer at the time. Today when they called I answered and had a very similar conversation start as many of you also have. I tried a few ways of advising the lady that I wasn t interested in their "services" but she persisted to try to find out my details. It seems to me that the quickest way to end these calls is to ask them to confirm the name of who it is they want to talk to. At this point they ve now hung up on me twice. If

SMSR abbreviation for "Social and Marketing Strategic Research" their offices are located at Wellington House, 108 Beverley Road, Hull, HU3 1XA. Their calls are unsolicted and ask lots of personal and private questions, however they are unwilling to explain how they got hold of your private details and phone number and thereby have the avantage, these people should be blocked as their tactics are underhanded and sneaky.

Call center asking for "john" about insurance claim. No one of that name has lived at this number since house was built (20 odd years, all with the same number)
