Defo a parking fine scam. I let the call ring to voicemail as I didn t know the number and the message left was a clever automated one that perhaps changes if someone picks up. The message started halfway into a sentence, saying " ...from 2012 so erm the total charge for the ticket including interest is £220, how would you like to pay . I have received several calls to my mobile from this number recently. If I don t answer the phone, they don t leave a message and when I do answer it the caller appears to hang up. I am wandering if it is SPAM or a wrong number (but surely if the latter they would have left a message for someone else or spoken to me and discovered the error). I ve noticed several Manchester numbers being associated with unwanted calls to EE customers and wonder if this number is also being used by the same people/company.
