They probably instigate all the silent nuisance calls you receive so they can tell you that you are being annoyed by nuisance calls. So of course if you pay them they may stop making the nuisance calls. Otherwise known as a protection racket which is certainly illegal.

SCAM Rang at 7.20am this morning. Claiming to be from tps. Could hardly understand her, obviously in a call centre. When I questioned WHY she was waking us up at 7.20am she put the phone down.
Received a call from this number last week and today. Did not recognize so let the call ring out. No v.mail left. Called the number back (from withheld) and it says the number is not recognized?! Its a dodgy call.

Pointed out that a) its not their job and b) I d like to know where they got that info as I am a financial advisor and I take care of this myself! She got aggressive and rude so hung up. Received a call from them this morning. Claimed to be recommended by/working with Welsh Water but didn t know the welsh name for it ROFL. What was worse, when I moved house 10 years agoI took the phone number with me, but they still had it at the old address from 10 years ago LMFAO. A well dodgey company.

SCAM call received from this number at 1130 on Mon 19/10/2020 stating “THIS IS A CALL FROM BRITISH TELECOM. YOUR LANDLINE AND INTERNET ARE ABOUT TO BE DISCONNECTED. PLEASE PRESS ONE”. I suspect that this is one of those calls which when you press “1” you will automatically be charged for a premium call. If you receive a call from this number, do NOT press 1 and block the number from your system.
